Røros butter was named the Nation’s best dairy product in The Norwegian Meal.
All Norwegian dairy are of world class standards due to good climate and juicy and nutritious grass.
The cream is long-term soured into sour cream which is then cored in a cone core.
The butter is not as compact as most other types of butter.
You can see the salt grains in the butter, and if the butter is at room temperature for a while, you can see small water pearls on the surface.
The fat composition varies naturally with the seasons. “Summer butter” is yellower and softer than “winter butter”.
Røros Butter is also excellent for frying and baking.
