Octopus Boiled Leg ~ Tako Ashi
SGD $32.50
Weight : 500g/pack, 4-6legs / pack, Sashimi Grade, Origin : Japan
One of the most popular items for sushi and sashimi, Octopus is a sweet, mild-tasting, lean seafood.
We maintain a temperature controlled cold chain to ensure our products maintain product quality from time of manufacture to your doorstep.
In sushi bars, the octopus is typically pre-cooked which results in its desirable chewy texture.
In addition to sashimi and sushi presentations, octopus is delicious in tacos and salads.
The juiciness and bland taste of octopus are excellent for sushi.
It has nice texture, not too hard and not too soft, and delicate yet rich flavor.
When chewing it, you can feel the sweetness and savory taste gradually coming out of the firm textured flesh and this is why octopus is such a popular sushi topping.

How To Defrost Octopus
- To safely thaw Octopus, place the Octopus in the refrigerator overnight so it can thaw out gradually. This is the best way to preserve the Octopus flavor and texture.
Keep it Simple
- Using a fork, dunk the octopus into the boiling water a few times until the tentacles curl up. Lower the heat a bit, and then simmer the octopus for about 5-10 minutes. After that turn the heat off and cover the pot.
- Let the octopus cool in the liquid for at least an hour, then into the fridge the whole thing goes.
